Why I am a candidate for Hollywood Commissioner District 5
My name is Erin Marvasti, and I’m a candidate for Hollywood District 5 Commissioner. As you may know, Commissioner Kevin Biederman is subject to term limits and as he completes his dedicated service, I am honored to have his full support. While we may not agree on every issue, we share a belief that District 5 deserves a leader who puts residents first, listens, shows up, and is deeply committed to our community.
I want to begin by recognizing how special and valuable you are to our community. Your leadership, service, and consistent presence have made a real impact, and I’ve long admired the dedication you bring to our shared goal of uplifting Hollywood.
I stay active in our neighborhood and city events to listen, learn, and serve. I'm running for District 5 Commissioner out of deep love for our community and a commitment to ensuring we’re represented by someone fully invested and engaged.

I’ve proudly lived in District 5 for over 20 years as a homeowner, local business owner, and active community member. My service includes:
· Boulevard Heights Elementary PTA – 15 years, 4 as President
· Vice Chair, Hollywood Housing Authority
· Member, Community Development Advisory Board
· Founder, United We Stand – supporting families locally and abroad
· Organizer of Basket of Blessings, Salsafest West, and Mother’s Day Brunch
